A Labor Day tradition will return to Florissant for a second straight year as the Tour de Florissant will be the final leg of the prestigious Gateway Cup again for 2025! In 2024 over 600 cyclists from all over the world traveled to Florissant to participate in one of the hardest courses in the country. Thousands of spectators showed up to watch the exciting action. For 2025 the course has been altered to eliminate a large hill on Historic St. Francois, however the character of the historic neighborhood will still be on display with the new route starting at Florissant City Hall and going by Old Town landmarks such as Henke's Tavern, Hendel's Restaurant, Sacred Heart Church, and Made.
