New Businesses Coming To Florissant
2409 N. Hwy 67 – American Freight
This location in the former Ashley Furniture store is currently under construction for a new furniture and appliance store called American Freight. This recently went through Planning and Zoning and was approved for signage and the store is currently being worked on to allow them to move in.
American Freight offers affordable, high-quality furniture, mattresses and appliances through its direct-to-consumer, warehouse-style stores. The company has over 370 U.S. locations in 40 states including local stores such as in St. Peters, Fenton, and Fairview Heights.
2855 N Hwy 67 - New Development Coming Soon
The former American Cleaners building (next to Lee’s Chicken) was recently demolished and the City expects to receive plans for a new development to take its place in the near future.
13935A New Halls Ferry Road – Bath & Body Works
They have applied for permits for the new Bath & Body Works store that will be located in the Cross Keys Shopping Center in the former Lane Bryant location.
Work is moving quickly and they hope to be open soon.
New Construction Updates
1290 N Hwy 67 – Sugarfire
Construction on the new Florissant Sugarfire is moving quick!
All demolition has been completed, the plumbing is being installed, and they are starting the work on the electric.
They are beginning to pour the back area where the smokers and trash enclosure will go. The carpenters are starting to frame walls and the wall that separates the bathrooms from the walk- in cooler. They are quickly making progress on the roof and the floors; the inside floor is poured! All of the electric switch gear is mounted on the wall.
They hope to be open by mid-December!
1725 Washington Street – IMO’s
Construction on a new drive thru IMO’s is moving quickly now at the corner of Washington/St. Anthony. As you can see, the first photo was taken in May, they’ve quickly progressed in the months since and hope to be open soon.
